The Paper Age: Collection in the Georgian Era

26 June - 3 July 2015
Overview

A Symposium* of Georgian society and Culture captured in printed form

*a convivial meeting for drinking, music and intellectual discussion.

To celebrate the opening of our exhibition ‘The Paper Age’, The Map House curated an evening symposium of Georgian society and culture, exploring prints and maps on our collection that played a pivotal role in fashioning and influencing the culture of an age.

For the private view held on the evening of Thursday 25th June 2015, talented cellist Bryony Moody provided a brilliant musical accompaniment to our champagne reception. And to honour the drinks of the era, gin and tea, we held a themed cocktail bar with house cocktail, Thames Water.
