Austrian Dominions III - Croatia, Sclavonia and Dalmatia
The Adriatic coast from the Istrian Peninsula to the Gulf of Cattaro or Kotor in Montenegro. Primarily, the map shows modern Croatia. Inset of the Austrian Empire in centre left.
The lower left corner mentions the three major sources used for this map, namely Ludwig August Fallon, Admiral William Henry Smyth and Janos Lipszky. These sources were all active either during the Napoleonic period or the early 19th century and were used in the first edition of the Society's atlas in the 1830s. In this new edition, issued by Edward Stanford in 1875, the map would have been revised and updated.
