Antonio Zatta
33 x 41 cm
Venice had a long standing historical interest on the coast of the Adriatic, and although by the late 18th century, their influence had waned, the Republic still had detailed charts of both the Adriatic Sea and the coast of Dalmatia, therefore, Zatta's maps were almost certainly sourced from local archives or commercial maps.
As is almost always the case, a charming pictorial cartouche is present on the lower left.
Original colour. [CEU2318]
