Large and finely-engraved map of Southeast Asia and India with an elegant title cartouche bearing a dedication to the Directors of the British East India Company.
Fundamentally, this map is sourced from Senex's own large double hemisphere wall map of the world published in 1711. It in turn seems to be heavily influenced by Guillaume de L'Isle's map of East Asia published in 1700 but continuously revised and updated. Due to its sources, this map is a remarkably accurate rendition of the region for its time.
