American map of the continent of Europe showing the latest political developments.
Although the title purports to show the political divisions in the continent, this map is a little out of date as it does not incorporate the changes made by the Treaty of Berlin in 1878. It does show the acknowledgement of the Austrian Emperor of the large majority of Hungarians in the Empire, ultimately leading to the name change of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It also shows the newly united Germany.
