Unusual map of the Chilean-Argentine border of Tierra del Fuego. With insets of the mountain peaks and a key detailing their heights.
This map illustrates part of a long running border dispute between Chile and Argentina as regards the nature of the Andes Mountains. Part of the settlement included building a row of "pyramids" at specific points within the mountain range. The position of these is illustrated on the left border. Each is numbered in Roman numerals and their position is recorded along the border shown on the map to the right.
