George Grierson's Irish edition of Herman Moll's richly detailed map of Barbados, divided into parishes and showing roads and paths "according to an actual and accurate survey". Plantations and sugar works are also marked. George Grierson, a prominent Dublin publisher and bookseller, re-issued Moll's "Atlas Minor" after Moll's death in 1732. It appears that instead of purchasing Moll's copperplates, Grierson had a whole new set of plates engraved which included minor updates and revisions to many of the maps. On this map of Barbados, for example, Grierson has added the comment in the upper-right corner that this map would be "very usefull for all Gentlemen that Travel to any part of Barbadoes."
