Description:

This fascinating, linen-backed, folding, railway map of Argentina shows the state of the country's rail network in 1920-21. Published in London, it was clearly intended to encourage British investment in Argentinian railways.
The map's title names the Buenos Aires & Pacific Railway Company Ltd as the driving force behind the creation of this map. That company's lines are marked with solid red lines. Other companies' lines are also included on the map and are divided in the map's legend according to the gauge of the tracks. The railways of Chile and Uruguay are also included on the map with muted black lines.
