A large, folding sea chart of the Isle of Wight, the Solent, and the south coast of England extending from Lymington to Bognor Regis. Detailed insets show the harbours of Portsmouth and Southampton, as well as the Needles Passage. Detail on land is limited to coastal areas only, and there are several handsomely engraved coastal profiles included on the map to aid sailors approaching shore. The map is rich with depth soundings and hazards are identified. Lighthouses and beacons are marked with yellow and orange dots.
