Philippe de Pretot was the overseer of the production of this series of maps. De Pretot was also a Royal Censor or a member of a panel of experts who determined if a particular work, in this case, the atlas, was deemed to deserve to be published with a Royal Privilege, The engraver was J.E.J Vallet and the artist was Maurille Moithey.
