Description:

An attractive long, thin portrait shaped map of Manhattan stretching unusually far north for the period.
It stretches from the Battery to the point where the Harlem River bisects Manhattan, separating it from the Bronx and the New York mainland. The map shows little habitation north of One Hundred and Fifty Fifth Street, although several streets are being shown as planned. The map was prepared by W.C. Rogers and Co. for Joseph Shannon's Manual of New York.
