| Large pair of 18-inch library globes produced by Thomas Malby using information from the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. The mahogany three-legged stands are carved with foliage decoration and have inset compasses. The terrestrial globe is dated 1854 and the celestial globe is dated 1850. 43 inches tall. The stand for the celestial is a later replacement. [GLOBE177] |
