The Bishoprick of Durham by Blaeu. A lovely example of this county map by the most famous publishing house of the Dutch Golden Age of Cartography.
The map is geographically based on that of John Speed first issued in 1611. However, Blaeu's map is very different aesthetically, with a different engraving style and the addition of a small, pastoral cartouche on the lower right.
