This version of Munster's map of Arabia is based on the classical map of by Ptolemy. It is derived from Munster's own larger map of the Peninsula. This map is a little larger in scope, also including Iran, Iraq, The Levant, the Caucasus and eastern Turkey in its geography. The major geographical features highlighted are the mountain ranges and the major rivers. There is little geographical detail although a few cities are marked, including the great trading city of Mocha in Yemen, Arbil in the Kurdistan region and Persepolis in Iran.
