Northern and Central Arabia marking Mr. Blunts 1879 route from Beirut to Bagdad through Jebel Shammar in Arabia. Published to illustrate his paper, 'A Visit to Jebel Shammar'.
Wilfrid Scawen Blunt and his wife, Lady Anne Blunt, are best known for importing and preserving Arabian horse bloodlines into England. They were the founders of the Crabbett Arabian Stud, a horse stud which ceased operation in 1972 but which is still vastly influential in horse breeding circles to this day.
