An unrecorded German map of the Caucasus, Iraq, and eastern Türkiye, showing the front lines between the Ottoman Empire and the Entente Powers in 1917 during WWI. The map covers modern-day Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Iraq, as well as parts of Turkey and Iran. Smaller inset maps provide an overview of the Middle East and a detailed view of the Egypt-Palestine region.
The source of the map is unknown, but it was almost certainly published after the war. We have identified only one other map by the same artist which illustrates the post-war boundaries of Poland with Danzig under League of Nations oversight.
