Charming small map of the United States shortly after the Adams-Onis Treaty of 1821 and showing the latest westward expansion.
This little map shows the recent acquisition of the Florida by the United States from Spain in the Adams Onis Treaty but unusually, gives Georgia access to the Gulf of Mexico. It also shows the new borders of the mid-western States with Illinois having access to Lake Michigan as well as the delineation of the western territories of Arkansas and Missouri.
