This is one of Meyer's celebrated city plans which appeared in the Hand Atlas in the 1840s. It is extremely attractive and elaborate. While the plan is based on the geography first issued by the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge in 1833, Meyer augments the size of the plan and adds beautiful vignettes of important Viennese architectural buildings on the upper and lower border.
