Based on maps of H.R.H the Duke of Abruzzi's expedition to Ruwenzori 1906, the Uganda-Congo Commission 1906-1908, Dr. Noel Humphreys' expeditions to Ruwenzori 1926, and the Fort Portal sheet of Africa.
Today, the range is located on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
