Beautiful illustrated map of the Lake District in northern England now designated as Cumbria; at time of publishing, this area was divided among three counties, Cumberland, Westmorland, and Lancashire.
The map is adorned with multiple vignettes including a panoramic view of Lake Windermere, a view of the Castle of Carlisle as well as several others. These were drawn and engraved by H. Bibby; the map was drawn and engraved by J. Rapkin as usual.
