Antonio Zatta
33 x 41 cm
A map of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth divided into its Palatinates prior to the three Partitions. This map is based on a new survey of Poland undertaken by Giovanni Rizzi-Zannoni in the 1750s at the request of Augustus III, King of Poland. The finished survey was published in atlas form in 1781 by Antonio Zatta under the title Atlante Polacco (Polish Atlas). Zatta also used the maps in his own Atlante Novissima.
Original hand-colour. [POL1067]
