Gall & Inglis
28 x 46 cm
Gall and Inglis' reduction of Pinkerton's map retains some of the charm of the original but by this date is more of a curiosity as opposed to an accurate geographical guide. Earlier maps by individuals such as Berghaus, Chesney and Kiepert had corrected many of the errors on the map, such as the omission of the Peninsula of Qatar. They also added much greater detail, such as the location of Dubai and Riyadh.
