18th century plan of Lima, capital of Peru issued in the Gazettiere Americano, an Italian translation of the American Gazetteer.
Geographically, this map is a slightly larger version of Bellin's map of the city which appeared in the "Histoire des Voyages". Bellin in turn based his map on the plan made first hand by the eminent Spanish polymath, Antonio de Ulloa. [SAM3557]
