William Darton
36 x 46 cm
This series of attractive county maps was initiated by Thomas Dix in 1819, but after his death, the atlas was completed by William Darton in 1825. Before the atlas was completed, the counties were offered for sale as separately issued linen backed folding example.
This example is backed on linen and folding, although the erasure of Dix’s name suggests that it was published well after his death.
Folding. Laid on linen. Original colour. [KENT679]
