The Arabian Peninsula with insets of Jerusalem and Palestine. Of particular interest is the very early geo-political division on the Arabian Peninsula with distinct colours used to show Ottoman, Arabian and Omani divisions within the Peninsula. These colours are keyed on the lower left of the main map. Thirty years later, this would evolve into the founding of Saudi Arabia.
