An enormous, folding one-inch O.S. Popular Series map of Kent, South London, and parts of East Sussex, joined and mounted by Edward Stanford Ltd as a bespoke customer request. The map is composed of sections from five adjoining O.S. map sheets which have been trimmed and joined to show only the area this particular customer was interested in. It extends from Clapham & Wandsworth in the northwest to Hayward's Heath in the southwest, and from Margate in the northeast to New Romney in the southeast.
Though undated, this Popular Series of Ordnance Survey maps were produced between 1919 and 1926, before being supplanted in the 1930s by the Fifth Edition O.S. maps.
