Rare, early plan of the City of Toronto was presented as a promotional tool for the retailer, Holt Renfrew and Co, still in existence today.
There are two versions of this map, both very unusual, one which bears the name "C. J. Pilkey" on the lower left together with a copyright date and one without. Our example is the former is the only institutional example we have been able to track down is present in the Toronto Public Library.
