Beautiful example of Blome's map of south Wales with several decorative shields and dedications.
The map features the historic Welsh counties of Glamorgan, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Cardiganshire, Brecknock and Radnorshire. Geographically, the map is based on the the Mercator Hondius map which in turn is based on Humphrey Lluyd's map of the 16th century.
