This splendid vintage advertising poster promotes the reach and ambition of Imperial Airways, showing the operating routes and projected routes of the company just before the start of WW2. The most ambitious of these routes is the proposed transpacific route from New Zealand to Canada. The poster also illustrates how this projected transpacific route would connect to the east coast of North America via Trans-Canada Airways, similar to the existing connection with South African Airways which served southern Africa.

Below the map are charming illustrations of Imperial Airways personnel, featuring both ground and air crew in their typical uniforms. These figures stand below two further illustrations of Imperial Airways aircraft: a de Havilland Albatross and an Empire Flying Boat.
