Published as a souvenir for the coronation of George V, this splendid panorama shows London from a bird’s-eye view. The map extends from Shepherd’s Bush, White City, and Kensington in the west to Tower Bridge, Liverpool Street, and Islington in the east. Important public landmarks are illustrated and enlarged, making them easier to find. The White City Exhibition grounds are given special prominence in the northwest corner of the map, featuring the Coronation Exhibition.
The Metropolitan and District Railways are overlaid on the map with a red line and the other electric underground railways are marked with a blue line, adding a level of practicality to an otherwise decorative souvenir map.
