The dating of the map can be ascertained by the presence of Kentucky as a new State (1792) and the lack of Tennessee (which became a State in 1796). The "Red Line" present on the map is an approximation of the famous "Red Line" added to John Mitchell's wall map which was used in the Treaty of Paris of 1784 to delineate the borders of the United States.
