Dr. Tempest Anderson was an ophthalmic surgeon and expert vulcanologist. In 1906-7, he went on an expedition to study the volcanoes of the West Indies and Central America. This map was compiled from his notes on Guatemala, showing the chain of volcanoes on the Pacific coast of the country.
