England and Wales. This is the more unusual version of van der Aa's map of England and Wales with decorative borders.
As with many of van der Aa's maps, the geography is based on de l'Isle's map of the country. Of particular note is the illustrated cartouche showing the scenery of the countryside as well as two large dogs and two gentlemen discussing affairs on horseback.
As usual with this map, the lower margin has been extended to facilitate framing. Coloured. [GB2173]
