This extraordinary piece was created over eight months by Bollmann and his staff using a specially mounted camera and a light table to record and amplify the three dimensional view of the architectural landscape. It was a revolutionary concept for the period and the resulting map was issued in several versions. This example is the pocket map available to visitors attending the New York Fair of 1964. A huge, monumental version was exhibited at the Fair.
