As is usual for Tallis, the map is set within several vignettes including the Bogota Waterfall also known as La Chorrera, Paramaribo the capital of Surinam and the volcano Chimborazo in Ecuador. As with all the maps, they were drawn and engraved by John Rapkin while these vignettes were designed and engraved by H. Winkles and W. Lacey.
