Extraordinary and extremely rare graphic educational chart of the planets and illustrating the Earth's place
in the universe.
The chart has translucent sections of early plastic (polymer) which when illuminated bring the planets,
earth and the zodiac signs brilliantly to life.
The planets are listed in order of their magnitude along the bottom of the chart and the Earth is shown on an azimuthal equidistant projection, surrounded by the signs of the zodiac.
Levi Walter Yaggy (1848-1912) was a successful innovator and publisher based in Chicago. This rare chart
would have been presented as part of his "Physical Atlas" and available to buy within the portfolio, or
individually.
This piece has been framed within an LED lightbox.[CELEST1239]
