This sheet shows a date for the observation of the sky in 1830 on the upper centre. These star charts were originally issued in the first edition of the atlas issued by the Society in black and white. Upon acquiring the plates after the Society dissolved, Stanford relaunched the atlas having revised and augmented the maps. These charts remained the same except that in this issue original hand colour was added, making them particularly visually attractive.
