Heather 'Herry' Perry
25 x 32 cm
A rare London Underground panel poster advertising the 1933 Rugby League Cup Final at Wembley. It was designed by Heather ‘Herry’ Perry, one of a number of women artists employed by London Transport during the 1930s, and was intended for display inside tube carriages and on London buses. Huddersfield beat Warrington 21-17 on the day in front of a crowd of 41,784. Despite an initial print run of 9,000, these panel posters are extremely rare on the market as they were only displayed for a short time and were subsequently destroyed.
Printed colour. Framed. [SPORTSp3775]
