Plan of the Battle of Bautzen in Germany a defeated Prusso-Russian Army made a fighting retreat against Napoleon's forces during the War of the Sixth Coalition.
Although this army had been defeated in the earlier Battle of Lutzen by Napoleon, the remainder was still in good order. Napoleon wanted to inflict a decisive defeat to its commanders, Blucher and Wittgenstein but failed on this occasion.
A short truce was declared shortly after this battle.
