The diagram is split into five images corresponding to each continent including Oceania with a list of the tallest mountains below. The tallest mountain on the diagram is Mount Dhawalgiri (Dhaulagiri) which is actually now the seventh tallest mountain in the world but pre-Everest, was regularly cited as the tallest. Its height was calibrated by Captain William Webb in 1809.
