Large separately issued map of the Arabian Gulf dated shortly after the establishment of the United Arab Emirates.
This large map of the Arabian Gulf and part of Saudi Arabia stretches as far west as Riyadh. The map does not show political boundaries but rather focuses on the road network and oil pipelines. The lower left corner shows an inset plan of Riyadh while the upper right shows a series of inset plans of importance cities on the Gulf coast such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Quatar and Muskat among others. These settlements are shown before their great expansion in the 1980s.
