James Wyld
84 x 112 cm
This unusual map by James Wyld is a lithographed update of the first trigonometrical survey of the county by Joseph Lindley and William Crosley published in 1793.
Wyld has updated the map to show new features such as railways and parks but he has kept the pastoral cartouche albeit with different wording. Wyld has removed Lindley and Crosley's names and added his name discreetly below the cartouche.
Original colour. [SURREY626]
