Two infographic charts explaining Champagne production and consumption across the century from 1844 - 1943. The upper chart shows the number of bottles shipped by Champagne vineyards each year. The black line represents the total amount, the red line shows how much was exported abroad, and the green line is domestic French consumption. The lower chart focuses instead on the quantity of grapes harvested and the quality of each year's wines, with red, blue and yellow lines representing very good, good, and fair wines, while black boxes indicate average, poor, or very poor years. The number of hectares under production is also listed for years where records exist.
