Plan of the siege of Yorktown, the final major land engagement of the American Revolutionary War, won by the Continental Army - led by George Washington, with support from the Marquis de Lafayette and French Army troops, and the Comte de Rochambeau, and a French Navy force commanded by the Comte de Grasse and who defeated the British Army commanded by General Charles Cornwallis.

Produced for Stedman's History of the American War, a comprehensive, two volume history of the American Revolutionary War by Loyalist officer Charles Stedman, first published in 1794 and one of the earliest detailed accounts of the war.

This map is based on the map by Sieur Le Rouge first published in 1781. It has been slightly simplified and although it shows the position of French fleet, oddly, it omits to show the position of the British fleet.
