A mid-century caricature map of Europe from an unusual Fodor guidebook published specifically for women wanting to travel alone through Western Europe in the 1950s. Though not the first travel guide aimed at women (the first English guidebook for solo female travellers was written by Lillias Campbell Davidson in 1889), it is still a rarity for the mid-20th century.
