A 1970s reissue of this rare and celebrated map of the Old Course at St Andrews, the oldest golf course in the world and the spiritual home of golf. All 18 holes are depicted as they were in 1924, with all of the course's famous hazards, bunkers, and fairways. The only revision to this later 1970s edition is the renaming of hole 10 from 'Tenth' to 'Bobby Jones'. The hole was named in Jones's honour in 1972 after the golfer's death a year earlier. A table also lists the distances of each hole.

The map was drawn by the famous golf course architect Alister MacKenzie whose noted achievements include the construction of Augusta National, Cypress Point, and the Royal Melbourne Golf Club, amongst over 50 other courses. MacKenzie visited St Andrews in the 1920s and produced this iconic map in 1924, which has become the standard image of the course ever since.

It is likely that this edition was printed around 1972 by W.C. Henderson & Son, a local publishing firm based in St Andrews, to capitalise on the celebrations surrounding the renaming of the 10th hole. It is the only difference between this edition and the original 1924 edition.
