Extremely detailed chart of Guantanamo Bay in southeast Cuba, most likely sourced from charts made by the English during their capture of the port in 1741.

The title to this small chart makes a reference to the Bay's briefly used English name, Port Cumberland. This was given to the port upon its capture by Admiral Vernon in 1741 in the War of Jenkins Ear. However, due to local Spanish resistance and mass sickness within the fleet, the port did not remain English for very long.

Due to the presence of multiple English names, such as "I. (Isola) di Montague, I. di Rippon and I. di Walton", it is most likely that this map was based on an English chart of the region. [WIND4356]
