William Figg
128.3 x 206.9 cm
Although it shows the same information and also has a large vignette of Chichester Cathedral, Figg's map is slightly wider than Greenwoods'.
This edition and revision of was commissioned by William Edwin Baxter, the owner of Lewes Printing Works. The map was to be supplied to the subscribers of the regional newspapers, the Sussex Express, the Kent Mail and the Surrey Standard. Out of those, only the first is still active. Incidentally, William Baxter was the brother of George Baxter, who is regarded as the inventor of colour printing.
Original colour. Folded. [SUSSEX643]
