Plan of Manila incorporating the suvey and changes proposed by the architect and urban planner, Daniel Burnham for the city after its acquisition by the United States following the Spanish-American War.

This map was incorporated in a report by co-authored by Daniel Burnham and Pierce Anderson another architect. It was prepared for William Taft, the then Secretary of War and proposed a series of civic improvements to the city. These are clearly marked on the map. The report and the map also proposes a vast expansion of the city, with additional parks, roads and living quarters. 

Although not all their suggestions and recommendations were enacted, many of them were, leading to a conclusion that this report and its maps were fundamental to the growth of modern Manila.
