Pictorial poster map of Great Britain highlighting the natural resources and infrastructure of the country. 

It was printed by the famous firm of Alf Cook and Son Ltd, a venerable firm based in Leeds, stationers and printers since the Victorian period. During World War II, they produced a series of propaganda map posters. 

This poster was published a little later, after the war, and is possibly an attempt to publicise the natural advantages in Great Britain during a grim period just after the conflict. The bright, cheerful colouring notes farmland, forests and areas where a mixture of farming was present. In addition, areas of natural resources, such as iron, coal and aluminium are noted. Finally, the country is linked with its dense rail network.
